TWG5: Formative assessment supported by technology

Mary Webb is Senior Lecturer in Information Technology in Education at King’s College London and on the International Federation of Information processing (IFIP) Education Executive Committee. Mary's research over many years has examined pedagogy and formative assessment and the uses of new technologies for learning and has resulted in over 150 publications. Mary has chaired working groups at several EDUSummIT meetings including "Assessment as, for and of learning in the 21st century" in EDUSummIT 2013..  . Dirk Ifenthaler is Professor and Chair of Learning, Design and Technology at University of Mannheim, Germany. His research focuses on the intersection of cognitive psychology, educational technology, learning science, and data analytics. Dirk’s research outcomes include numerous co-authored books, book series, book chapters, journal articles, and international conference papers, as well as successful grant funding in Australia, Germany, and USA. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Springer journal Technology, Knowledge and Learning.
