Week of Science and Education in the Interest of Peace and Development

From 26 November to 2 December 2017 Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Moscow State University of Education organised the Science and Education Week for Peace and Development  in Moscow as part of festivities to mark the 145th anniversary of the Moscow State University of Education (MSPU). The Week is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme in the Russian Federation

The Programme of the Science and Education Week includes the following events:

  • 27 November, Round Table: Technological Education in Innovative Development of a National Economy;
  • 28 November, Round Table: Modern Strategies on Developing the Content and Technologies for Pedagogical Education;
  • 28 – 29 November, Research and Methodological Session for international researchers in capacity building practices in higher education while implementing programmes in «Pedagogical Education», «Psychological and Pedagogical Education», «Training pedagogical staff»;
  • 29-30 November, International Seminar: Education in Today’s Multicultural World: the Role and Mission of a Pedagogue (from the cycle of “Dialogue of Civilizations and Cross-Cultural Cooperation”);
  • 29 November, Round Table: Media and Information Literacy in the Context of Social Relations Radicalization;
  • 30 November, Youth Forum: Education = Knowledge + ???;
  • 30 November-1 December, All-Russian Conference on Mathetics and the Future of Pedagogy, (with international participants);
  • 1 December, Forum: Modern Family in a Megacity: Evolution, Crises and Transformation;
  • 1 December, Interactive Conference: Early Childhood Education as Investment into the Future;
  • 1 December, Research seminar: An Educational Institution’s Web-Site as a Communication Resource.  2017 EAPU Internet Award (a contest of websites of Pedagogical Institutes and Universities from Russia and CIS), announcement of winners.

ULSIT took a part mainly in the International Seminar: Education in the Modern Muplicultural World: The Pedagogue’s Role and Mission

 

The cycle of annual seminarsDialogue of Civilizations and Cross-Cultural Cooperationis designed to share innovative practices and hands-on experience of Moscow, Russian regions and other countries in cross-cultural education; to ensure equal access to educational services; and to enhance their quality in the system of preschool, school, complementary and lifelong education. The Project plays a role of a research and practice laboratoryproviding support to the network of international educational institutions and programs. A particular attention is paid to global trends and innovations in the system of advanced training of pedagogues and administration. Since 2009, over 1,200 people from 48 countries and many Russian regions participated in the seminars.

Goals:

Sharing experience, methodological techniques and best practices of educational institutions from Russia and other states on important aspects of international and cross-cultural education, focusing on the mission of pedagogical work, training of teaching staff and the development of lifelong education
