Conference QED’25 is under the patronage of the Bulgarian National Commission for UNESCO.
QED’25 is a follow-up to the Global Summit on ICT in Education EDUsummIT’25, held from 23 to 25 June 2025 in Dublin. EDUsummIT is a knowledge-creating community of practitioners, researchers, and policymakers.
Conference QED was established in 2011 by the UNESCO Chair of ICT on Library Studies, Education and Cultural Heritage at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies to disseminate the results of EDUsummIT, as ULSIT academic staff are founders and active participants of the Global SUMMIT.
The organising and planning of the Conference QED’25: Designing Education Ecosystems for the Future: The Role of Digital Technologies is a collaboration between three Bulgarian universities. The teams from UNESCO Chair on ICT in Library Studies, Education and Cultural Heritage (ULSIT, host), UNESCO Chair on Media and Information Literacy and Cultural Policies for Sustainable Development (University of National and World Economy), and UNESCO Chair on Culture of Peace and Human Rights (Burgas Free University) are working together to make meeting place for exchanging experiences and fulfilling the goal of enabling a discussion about education ecosystems for the future.
The QED’25 aims:
- to spread the EDUsummIT’25 Call for Action to successfully address the challenges in the digital age more widely in Europe through our partner organisations, with support from EDUsummIT’25 participants in person or online.
- to bring together the three active Bulgarian UNESCO chairs on ICT in Library Studies, Education and Cultural Heritage (University of Library Studies and Information Technologies - ULSIT), on Media and Information Literacy and Cultural Policies for Sustainable Development (University of National and World Economy - UNWE) and on Culture of Peace and Human Rights (Burgas Free University - BFU) and to share their national and international activities.
